Topkapı Palace was the residence of the Ottoman Dynasty and headquarters of the Ottoman Empire for over 400 years. There are many interesting things to see including the imperial treasury, sacred Islamic relics of Prophet Mohammed, a Chinese porcelain collection, weapons, Ottoman calligraphy, and much more. Come and see how the Sultans and their families lived at the height of their power and influence.
We shall also see the 5 tombs of Ottoman Sultans and their families. It’s an often forgotten site, tucked away to the side of Hagia Sophia, however a very interesting one to visit. Every tomb is an exquisite work of art in itself. They all feature different paintings, tiles, and calligraphy and the earliest dates back to 1574.

Between 13:00 – 13:30: We pick you up from the hotel and transfer to the meeting point of group and tour guide for the Half-Day Afternoon Istanbul City Tour – Ottoman Relics.
Topkapi Palace (Topkapı Sarayı)
It is a great palace in Istanbul, Turkey, that was the main residence of the Ottoman Sultans for approximately four-hundred years (between 1465-1856) of their 624-year reign.
It was the primary residence of the sultans and their court. Topkapi Palace was initially the seat of government as well as the imperial residence. Although access was strictly regulated, residents of the palace rarely had to venture out since the Topkapi Palace functioned almost as an autonomous entity, a city within a city.
As well as a royal residence, the Topkapi Palace was a setting for state occasions and royal entertainments. Today, It is now a major tourist attraction and includes significant holy relics of the Muslim world, including Muhammed’s cloak and sword.

Sultans Tombs
There are 5 tombs of Ottoman Sultans within the graveyard at St. Sophia. The ceramic panels are the most stunning examples of the 16th century with green, purple, red and blue, flower motives. Prince robes and a little piece from the Kaaba covers are displayed on the sarcophaguses.
Sultans Tombs is closed on Monday so it shall be replaced with Little Hagia Sophia Mosque
Little Hagia Sophia ( Kucuk Ayasofya Camii)
It formerly the Church of the Saints Sergius and Bacchus, is a former East Orthodox Church committed to Saints Sergius and Bacchus in Constantinople later modified into a mosque in the Ottoman Empire time. Today the environment is worth seeing the natural culture center of the Iost Ottoman Arts.
17:00 is the end of the tour, then guetss will be transferred back to their hotel and Half-Day Afternoon Istanbul City Tour – Ottoman Relics, will be ended.
